Dance Teacher. Suzhou. Full-time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Dance Teacher to join our team in Suzhou, China. As a Dance Teacher, you will have the exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in various dance styles, fostering their love for dance and helping them develop their skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive dance curriculum, incorporating various dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, or traditional Chinese dance.
2. Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons that cater to students' age, skill level, and interests, promoting both technical proficiency and artistic expression.
3. Teach proper dance techniques, including posture, alignment, coordination, musicality, and stage presence, while emphasizing the importance of creativity and individuality.
4. Choreograph dance routines and combinations for performances, recitals, or competitions, showcasing students' abilities and providing opportunities for growth.
5. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students, helping them improve their dance skills, overcome challenges, and develop self-confidence.
6. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a sense of community and encouraging teamwork, respect, and mutual support among students.
7. Organize and lead rehearsals, ensuring efficient use of time, attention to detail, and effective preparation for performances.
8. Collaborate with other dance teachers and staff members to organize dance events, workshops, and showcases to enhance students' exposure and experience in the dance community.
9. Assess students' progress regularly, maintaining accurate records of their attendance, skill development, and performance evaluations.
10. Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues, providing regular updates on students' progress, upcoming events, and addressing any concerns or questions.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field. A degree in Education with a specialization in dance is also acceptable.
2. Proven experience as a Dance Teacher or professional dance experience in multiple dance styles.
3. In-depth knowledge of dance techniques, terminology, and dance history, as well as the ability to effectively teach and demonstrate dance movements.
4. Strong choreographic skills and the ability to create engaging and dynamic dance routines.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect with students, parents, and colleagues in a positive and professional manner.
6. Passion for dance education and a genuine interest in nurturing students' love for dance while fostering their technical and artistic growth.
7. Adaptability and flexibility to cater to students of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, modifying teaching strategies as needed.
8. Strong organizational skills to effectively plan lessons, rehearsals, and performances, and manage multiple responsibilities.
9. Dedication to creating a safe and supportive learning environment, prioritizing student well-being and fostering a sense of belonging.
10. Up-to-date knowledge of dance trends, industry practices, and advancements in dance education.
