 We are seeking a passionate and qualified Primary School ESL Teacher for our educational institution in Shenzhen City, China. As a Primary School ESL Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering English language acquisition and promoting cross-cultural understanding among primary school students. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the English curriculum and cater to the needs of primary school students.
  • Teach English language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, using interactive and communicative approaches.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for learning English.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional resources, such as textbooks, multimedia, games, and real-life materials, to enhance language acquisition.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with varying English proficiency levels.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the English curriculum, ensuring its alignment with educational standards and best practices.
  • Foster a multicultural and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes understanding of different cultures.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and actively participate in parent-teacher conferences.
  • Stay updated with current trends and research in ESL education, integrating innovative teaching methods and technology into instruction.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, TESOL, or a related field. A teaching certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience teaching English as a second language to primary school students.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Strong knowledge of English language learning strategies and pedagogical approaches.
  • Familiarity with ESL curriculum standards and the ability to design effective and engaging lesson plans.
  • Passion for working with young learners and creating a positive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire students.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is advantageous for effective communication with students and parents.
