Secondary English Supply Teacher. Moganshan. Full-time

International School is seeking an enthusiastic Secondary English Supply Teacher to join our high achieving, student centred department. The successful candidate should be able to teach across all key stages. Experience teaching the UK curriculum IGCSE and A-levels would be preferred. 

Role & Responsibilities

• Plan and develop exciting lessons to teach English to students from Year 7 to 13
• Take responsibility for secondary classes, in supporting, nurturing and taking a genuine interest in the holistic development of all students
• Create inquiry-based classrooms that develop critical thinking skills, knowledge and a range of skills within an environment based on trust and respect
• Report to the Heads of Department and work closely with the Heads of School and other colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of the planned English curriculums
• To assist the Heads of Department in maintaining and improving the standard within the department
• Create high quality curriculum materials that cater for students of all abilities and needs
• To assist in curriculum development within the department
• Integrate technology into pedagogy to follow school wide learning initiatives

Requirements For Secondary English Teacher

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in related subject (English/ English Literature/ Language Education) and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent
• Proven experience of teaching English up to KS3/ IGCSE/ A-level
• Minimum of two years’ UK curriculum teaching experience
• Ability to build rapport with students aged 11-18
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
• Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents
